Why Your Morning Routine Matters for Clear Skin
Your morning routine sets up your skin for the entire day – so it is super important. What you do in the morning can impact your breakouts, oil production and how glowy your skin looks.
A consistent morning routine for clear skin helps to provide balance, improve your barrier and keep your skin hydrated and healthy throughout the entire day.
This isn’t about doing more, it is about consistency.
The 10-Minute Morning Routine for Clear Skin

Step 1: Gentle Cleanser
Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, a gentle cleanser is always a good way to go.
Always be gentle and kind to your skin as it does a lot for you! Use something that isn’t harsh and that does not have fragrance.
Step 2: Cotton Pad & Micellar Water
This is sort of like a gentle double cleanse to remove any dirt that you missed with your cleanser – I do this every morning!
Step 3: Hyaluronic Under Eye Patches
These are great for hydrating the under eye area and helping you to wake up in the morning!
Apply these for ten minutes and make your breakfast, get dressed or do whatever it is you have to do.
Step 4: Peptide Serum or Vitamin C serum
Choose your serum!
Peptides are great for signaling your skin to produce collagen and hydration where Vitamin C is great for evening out pigmentation and giving you a beautiful morning glow!
Step 5: Gua Sha (Frozen)
After you apply your serum, take your gua sha out of the freezer (has to be cold to get the benefits)and roll it under the eyes and all over the face and neck.
This massage stimulates blood flow which is great for clearing the skin and also de-puffs the face.
Step 6: Sunscreen (SPF is non-negotiable)
Sunscreen is so important to wear everyday – even indoors!
Make sure to apply a thin layer of sunscreen DAILY under the eyes, all over the face and neck.

Common Mistakes That Cause Breakouts

1. Skipping Sunscreen
Sun damage leads to premature aging and dark spots.
2. Popping pimples that don’t have a white head
ONLY pop pimples that have a white head at the surface that you can actually see. DO NOT pop cystic acne. Always wash your hands before you pop pimples as well to avoid bacteria getting into the area.
3. Over-cleansing your face
This can dry out your face and make your acne look more red and inflammed.
4. Eating sugar and greasy foods
Sugar is a BIG cause for breakouts. The best way to avoid getting more acne is to eat clean and healthy, avoiding greasy foods and high processed sugars.
5. Using too many different ingredients
Over-use of ingredients can increase skin redness and inflammation. For example, if you were using retinol, peptides and Vitamin C all the time in the same week, it can cause skin irritation and redness.
